  • 👨‍💻 Login to your learning platform as an administrator with your admin credentials
  • 1. Navigate to 'Assessments' from the main dashboard.
  • 2. Select any of the Sectional test required.
  • 3. Go to "Settings."
  • 4. Scroll down in 'Assessment Configuration' and toggle on 'Scaled Score Configuration.'
  • 5. Click the 'Configure' button to customize the scaled score settings.
  • 6. Click "Generic" as it is the type we will be configuring. This ensures a fully customizable structure, allowing you to modify all configuration options as needed to fit various testing needs.
  • 7. Decide the assessment structure between a module based layout, which groups sections into broader categories, or a section-based layout, where each section is configured separately.
  • 8. The first method for raw score calculation is Weighted Mean. This approach assigns different weights to questions based on their difficulty. Harder questions can contribute more to the total score, while easier questions may have lower weight, ensuring a balanced scoring system.
  • 9. To apply this method, we can assign custom values for different difficulty levels. Here, you can set weights below '1' for each difficulty level to control how much each type of question influences the final score. This flexibility allows educators to emphasize specific question
  • 10. The second method is Mapped Scoring. This approach is where you can create a predefined table where customized scores and values are mapped. Instead of weights, this method ensures that given values are converted consistently according to an established grading score.
  • 11. Decide how final scores will be calculated. It can be done by summing all section scores or by averaging them for a more balanced total.
  • 12. Set score intervals in multiples of 10 to ensure that final scores are rounded consistently to the nearest whole number.
  • 13. Name your units according to your specific sectional assessment structure.
  • 14. Define the minimum and maximum score range based on the specific grading criteria of your SAT sectional assessment.
  • 15. Select the sections required and ensure the total number of questions.
  • 16. Once all values and settings are finalized, click 'Save Scaled Score Configuration' to apply the changes.
  • 17. Finally, click' Update Assessment' before sharing the test with students to ensure all changes are applied.
  • 18. A visual representation of the scaled score that appears once the user completes their test.
