Test Interface Tools for SAT, ACT AP: Complete Guide

This guide explains about the tools and features available in the test interface that support an official exam-like experience for students. It also outlines how these tools can be enabled and used across different assessments on the platform, ensuring that tests are conducted with the necessary functionality and support similar to standardized exams.

👨‍💻 Log in to your learning platform as an administrator with your admin credentials.

1. Select any assessment for which you would like to configure the tools.

2. Choose the section where you would like to configure the tools, click on the three dots, and then select Edit.

3. Scroll down to Section Tools Configuration, where you can enable or disable tools for that specific section. This must be configured separately for each section. For default content, the tools are already configured.

Annotation tool: The Annotation Tool allows students to highlight, underline, or mark important parts of the question and passage during the test. It helps them focus on key information and organize their thoughts while answering questions.

4. Click on Graph Calculator Access to enable or disable it for the selected section.

Desmos Graphing Calculator: The Graph Calculator allows students to perform advanced calculations and plot graphs during the test. It helps them visualize mathematical relationships and solve complex problems more efficiently.

5. Click on Scientific Calculator Access to enable or disable it for the selected section.

Scientific Calculator: The Scientific Calculator allows students to perform advanced mathematical calculations during the test, including functions such as exponents, roots, and trigonometry. It helps them solve complex numerical problems quickly and accurately.

6. Click on Math Reference Sheet Access to enable or disable it for the selected section.

Math Reference Sheet: The Math Reference Sheet provides students with important formulas and key mathematical concepts during the test. It serves as a quick reference to help them solve problems more efficiently without needing to memorize every formula.

7. Click on Chemistry (Equation) Reference Sheet Access to enable or disable it for the selected section.

Chemistry (Equation) Reference Sheet: The Chemistry Reference Sheet provides students with essential chemical equations, constants, and key formulas during the test. It helps them quickly refer to important information needed to solve chemistry-related questions efficiently.

8. Click on Chemistry (Periodic table) Reference sheet access to enable or disable it for the selected section.

Chemistry (Periodic Table) Reference Sheet: The Periodic Table Reference Sheet provides students with a complete view of the periodic table during the test. It helps them quickly identify elements, atomic numbers, and other key information needed to answer chemistry-related questions.

9. Click on Biology (Equation) Reference sheet access to enable or disable it for the selected section.

Biology (Equation) Reference Sheet: The Biology Reference Sheet provides students with important biological formulas, constants, and key concepts during the test. It helps them quickly refer to essential information needed to solve biology-related questions efficiently.

10. Click on Physics (Equation) Reference sheet access to enable or disable it for the selected section.

Physics (Equation) Reference Sheet: The Physics (Equation) Reference Sheet provides students with important physics formulas and constants during the test. It helps them quickly reference key equations needed to solve physics-related problems efficiently.

11. Click on Line Reader access to enable or disable it for the selected section.

Line Reader: The Line Reader helps students focus on specific lines of text by highlighting one line at a time. It reduces distractions and makes it easier to read and follow passages during the test.

12. Click on Magnifier access to enable or disable it for the selected section.

Magnifier: The Magnifier tool allows students to zoom in on parts of the screen during the test. It helps them view text, images, or graphs more clearly and improves readability.

13. Before starting the test, accommodations and supports can also be enabled or disabled from the admin view. If enabled, students can use them to extend the section time. This is configured at the assessment level settings rather than the section level settings. This accommodation

14. Click on On-Screen Timer to either show or hide it. By default, the timer is shown during the test.
